hey guys i was wondering if i should buy a yz250 engine and do all the work to make it run and fit good... i know it will take a lot lineing up the sprocket and making the frame stronger and replacing the motor mounts but would it be ezer putting mad mods into my 2002 almost stock blaster or put a yz 250 engine into it? what would cost more? thanks, Aaron

would it be well worth all that work? cuz a yz 250 rips the shit off of 450r's

Your just better off doing mods to the Blaster. It will take alot of mods to make the yz250 engine to fit. Its been done before tho. IMO its not worth it.

Ive been thinking about putting either the yz250 or the cr250 engine in a blaster chassis for awhile. The hardets thing would be the exhaust routing and the sprokets. Making new mounts and making the frame stronger wont be hard if you have the right tools. The only thing I am worried about is vibration.

i say,if you have a yz250 and have the resourses to fit it to the frame properly i would put the YZ on even if it vibrates.....face it a yz250 will smoke a blaster anyday

Ya i would probably do it if i had the motor and all that. I think you should atleast try it, it would be different and it would give you a project to do. But thats just my opinon

WAIT you see the yz250 definately kicks a$$ but thats on a birtbike (lot lighter) not on blaster. Wouldn't rock on a blaster frame. MOD THE BLASTER NO DOUBT.

i think a yz250 on a heavy four wheeler would smoke a blaster(remember the blaster is the lightest bike on the market)

I think u should put the Yz in the frame, i know it would be alot of work n all but look at the advantages, liquid cooled, alot faster, and u can do more to the YZ than the blaster. Also i think it would kick any450 ass, it would basically be a lightr 250r, the only thing is it would be geared a bit lower than the 250r, and next winter me and my dad are goin to put a Yz125 in my blaster frame because its easier to a 125 in than a 250

I think that you should mode the blaster because you can make it super fast like go to www.cpcustoms.com and see what they do to a blaster. And any way if you don't have a shope or a shit loade of tools you are not going to be able to pull it off. DON'T DO IT
