I just finished putting a 90 yz250 (with a big bore kit and stroked) in my wifes 91 blaster. I was bored and needed a project for the winter. I agree the hardest part was the pipe. I used a '92 procircuit platnum pipe. I cut it at the welds where I could turn the pipe and not change any of the expanion size or shape. I mounted the radiators left and right just above the lower front fender supports. They are tucked inside the frame at top and out a bit at bottom. I also had to make a custom air box (no lid). It has a +4 swing arm, dura blue +3,+5 axle, 3+1 front a-arms and 4/1 offset front rims to match the rear (5" wider). The frame is all gusseted and rewelded as needed. It has trenga rear hyd. brakes and warrior front. The rear is a 250r shock and front dual rate works. The plastic is maiers rear custom banshee fenders (I didn't like the way the extended swing arm went past the rear so far, plus this custom fender set from maiers looks like the yzf rear fenders) stock tank cove, and the maiers 1 peice front race fenders. I have not riden this yet. I just finished all the moching up of it. I am going to be sending the frame to the sand blast next week so I can start putting this thing together and see what it rides like. I will take pics of it on its way back together. If any one is intrested I can take some of it now its just not all pretty looking yet (oh what paint and polishing can do). I also have a complete TRENGA built race engine with receipts of work from them for sale too. It is a 240 big bore, long rod race engine complete with carb and filter. If intrested I can send complete details of engine.

lightest bike on the market yea.. you seem to have forgoten the price hmm.. i think for the price of a USED motor would be enough to bore it out- put longer crank- better piston- pipe- and it you could make it more than 250cc's and faster even though its heavier THINK ABOUT IT- USE YOUR HEAD A LITTLE i mean i know it hurts but just try it.

Hey already been there and done that. If you looked at the end of what I said I have a Trenga racing engine. They built it from ground up. I have all paper work for it and I'm into it for over $3,200 not including the engine that it was built out of. It is a 240 kit bored 50 over(do to it blowing up), head re chamberd and shaved (this thing has VERY high comp. I use 114 octain gas at 32 to 1). The cylinder has a complete race port and polish job. It has a custom balanced long rod crank, a cylinder spacer, 1/2" reed spacer, pyramid reed cage, custom intake manifold with boost bottle, pj 34mm carb, k&n clamp on with outer wear, Trenga big bore pipe and sil., 4* of timing. This thing has blown up twice becouse of it being air cooled in summer on long hot days. This yz250 engine will put this 240 engine to shame. I still have the 240 engine but I think I'm going to put it in a new blaster of my wife. She doesn't drive hard enough to have any probs. Doesn't it make sence to start with something that has twice the power and build from there, plus its liquid cooled. I have gone the 240 way and made around 50 hp but not reliable. That is like 3 times stock. If i double the yz I will be above the 240 I have and it will be D E P E N D A B L E. It's not fun to break. Plus I needed a winter project. I will take pics soon once my frame comes back from being blasted.
