Do you think a 90mod quad with a cr80 motor would do ok in the blaster class? Stock motors not 240cc kits

Even thought the blaster suspension isnt very good, I would think the 90's would be even worse. My girlfriends little brother has one and he doesnt have much travel at all. His frame isnt strong enough either, he already broke the rear shock mount off the frame. Make sure you take care of stuff like this before you race.

This is a blaster frame with the cr80 motor in it. Has a 250r radiator the stock shocks are gone. The little cr80 motor believe it or not puts out more horsepower than the stock blaster motor. With some work to the motor it will easy put out 25hp

people do it all the time at the nationals in the 90 mod class you could do it would just take some time putting the motor in and linning the sprockets up but its been done before in fact on ebay not to long ago there was a guy that made one and put it together it was trick.

I have the motor in now it was easy. It's the radiator that took some time. I have it 90% complete and was going to run it in ama d-12 but they have cut out the 90 mod class for 2005. The only class now to run is cra blaster class. May try a national race but the 90 mod class at the nationals they do go very fast. Fisher built quad comes in at about $14,000 Im doing the poor man one with the blaster I have seen a national 90 mod rider in action and he would beat alot of blaster riders.

The project you are doing wont work very good in a blaster chassis. Although like you mentioned, the national bikes are running custom chassis by Fischer or JB. There was a kid at our local track that put a yz80 motor in a blaster frame, and it didnt do good at all. I think his motor was stock thoug. Once some motor work is done to them, along with a carb and pipe, they are pushing 25 h/p (Rich Hetrick told me that himself)

I talked to Rich also about this. He said a cr80 powered blaster would beat a stock blaster, but a build blaster motor it'a a no. It's also the rider! His son joel would beat 90% of the local blaster riders on his 90 mod.
