alright. well i ordered a manual and im going to tear down my engine and i have to replace main seals and bearings. the rod on my crank also feels pretty sloppy. is it supposed to feel tight or loose on the crank? i had planned on one of those hot rod, rod kits. and i was thinking i needed a top end but i dont think i do. the cylinder is nice and smoothe and not scarred or anything and the rings are in good shape and its got pretty good compression. not sure how much but it feels like alot. the top of the piston sais 50 so what size would that be? while i have the head off i plan on porting it myself. nothing outrageous but enough to clear it out a little. anyone know where i could possibly buy an engine kit for bearings and seals for my engine? is there anythign else i should do or replace? thanks alot!

well, the rod isnt supost to have play in it. you might wanna replace the rod bearing also. replace all bearings/seals while you got it apart and gaskets etc, that will be the best thing to do.

you can orderd everything you need from www.CpCustoms.com and he'll tell you everything you need to know about ordering etc etc. to find out what size bore your cylinder is have a local shop measure it and whuile they are have them to check piston/wall clearance, see if its out of round or in need of a bore. if its the stock piston I would replace it with a wiseco piston kit with rings/circlips/wrist pin and bearing, as far as porting goes you can check out www.macdizzy.com for porting tips and you can visit www.CpCustoms.com for porting tips etc, he'll help you anyway he can.

yea you'll want to replace the bearings while you have it apart because you shouldn't have play in it. We sell crank bearing kits that come with everything if you want to do it yourself. Just e-mail, PM, or call me at the shop.

The guy ask a question about his engine. Stop with you childish responses. bbb05 The crank should have some slop. I would'nt try porting it yourself, you will most likely lose performance porting it yourself. Things wont match up and your timing will be even further off. Go to the store section, and tthey have people you can ship your cylinder off to and get it race ported.
