Okay you gurus give me your opinions please, blew up my blaster and I'm looking to get a new motor that rips for a great price. I guess I've pretty much narrowed it down to the Vito's big bore kit or a motor built by HWD, it's just a custom job that a user is selling on the board, the work done to it is as follow's: 2mm stroker mod, port and polished, head shaved, cases matched, new bearings all through the motor, with Keihen 34mm carb, .60 over. I guess my question is which motor do you think would make more power, be more reliable and get me the most. I'm 210pnds, and need to be able to keep up with my friends on there 4stroke 400's. INFO PLEASE!!! Thanks in advance, ~B

The Hollywood Dirt motor will give you twice the power as the Vitos. There is no comparison, especially since the HDP motor is stroked too. Youll have good mid/top end with that motor as well as good torque from the stroker.
What exhaust system are you going to be using? If that Hollywood Dirt motor is a stock bore and not a big bore, I would strongly recommend using either an LRD exhaust, or the PB Phantom exhaust from these guys. The PB Phantom exhaust is actually a Power Pros but looks better and out of a dozen exhausts that I have tried the Power Pros (same as the Phantom exhaust from here) exhaust and the LRD were the best.

25 views and 1 reply??Thanks Criminal..... There's another problem I'm having, I'm not going to be running the best exhuast on the thing cause I ride alot in the middle of the night so I'm putting on the quitest exhaust I can find, I know it's going rob me of some power but I'm just going to have to sacrifice it.
Anyone else? I heard that the Vito's kit isn't p&p but they advertise it to make something like 30hp? The HWD's motor is only bored .60 over, the owner thinks it's only making around 23hp, which seems to me like that's underestimating it and that's p&ped. If he's write then the Vito's kit seems to be a better buy, cause then I could just have that ported and polished and be up. Man I wish it didn't take 3 weeks for HWD to build me a top end or I would get it.
OPINIONS PLEASE!!

its not really worth it if its on .060. you only have two bore sizes left and they are risky to go on because the sleeve is so thin. I would just send my motor to marc and have him port it ect.

So I should go with the Vito's kit then? I was thinking if I got the HWD motor, I'd ride it till it's time to bore again and just have it reworked/sleeved with a big bore kit, then she'd be stroked and big bored? I'm just need to be able to keep up with a 400ex, 400z, and a couple other 4 strokes. Actually it would be nice if I could be faster then them.

might start a flame here, but my vote says send it to gthunder. laz has been around forever and knows more about motors than anyone on the planet. he builds motors for bill and brandon ballance, johnny gallager, tracci cecco and many other very fast people. he also has GREAT prices, better customer service than any company out there and a quick turn aorund time.
snyder motorsports is also a good blaster builder

I guess my main problem is I really want kinda instint gradification I.E. something soon.......I really hate to have to send my motor away and wait for it to come back. So I've got one vote for the HWD motor, one nay for the HWD motor, no love for the Vito's and a few others. I'm REALY worried that whatever I decide to do I won't be satisfied, or won't feel a dif in my old motor. Anybody now how the Vito's kit feels, I'm figuring with the amount of people selling the Vito's stuff it must be decent, I mean if it was terrable then I would here? I was also looking at CT's kit but I'm only going to be running like 93 with maybe octane booster, and probably a pretty restrictive exhaust so I don't know if that motor would be the right decistion, plus it ain't cheap!

I went ahead with HWD, Marc's customer service is great, when I say customer service I mean he kept me in the loop the whole time he was building my motor, and he had a PD3 240 big bore top end kit available to get out to me within the week. I did talk to Kurt, I must of stayed on the phone with him for like an hour or two he's def a cool cat. I just had to go with Marc at HWD, the price was unbeatable as far as my time line was concerned. I really was going to break the bank and go with the CT kit but I just couldn't wait for one, and I don't think I needed all that the CT offered. I really only needed the power for woods riding and to hang with the 400's, hopefully this kit will do the trick, my buddy with the 400ex is like "there's no way in hell your going to be faster then my bike on a blaster, I don't care what's done to it!" I can't wait to see the look on his face when my little blaster smokes his stock 400ex, I hope. I'll keep this post updated with how this motor performs when she's all back together, I just droped the frame of at my buddy's shop to get rhino lined, she should be all back together on Tuesday. Thanks for all the support and info guy's. I'll halla! ~B
