Does a degree key harm the engine in anyway?

Um, no, it shouldn't. It just pushes up the timing a few degrees, I believe the motor already has a degree key in it, just a different kind. So, I wouldnt see what it would hurt. Brandon

I have one on my Blaster, and on the dyno it gave me 1.4 more hp. You can get them from Vito's.

How does it go? Advance the timing for more low end and retard the timing for more top end?

I heard so many answers about that it really works and that sometimes it messes up your engine. All I know is that its suppose to give the spark plug a better timing.

by advancing the timing you improve throttle response)low and mid) basicly by igniting the a/f charge sooner you build more pressure within the cylinder. higher pressure = more power! to a point that is to much and you can cause detonation! retarding the timing will give the engine more time to thoroughly burn the a/f charge at higher rpm! so yes they work
