i just got my phantim and rode with it once...i noticed it is harder to get a wheelie up with the pipe on..i also got 18" tires if that has anything to do with it
if theres any easier way let me know (dont suggest standing on the grab bar)
thanks

might be the tires...i thought it wasnt any better, but not worse, and did u jet it? also, if u havent got a airfilter, get a k&n filter, it actually makes a differance.

You didn't rejet? I wouldn't ride it until you do.

i get way more power with mine... and it is sooo much easier to wheelie i can bring a wheelie in 3rd gear....
did u mess with the jetting... it could be that
and when was the last time you rebuilt urs...
when i got my dg i couldnt bring em up at all then i found out that it was ready to blow up anytime....
when i got mine rebuilt it ran soo much better
then i got the phantom and it ran even better

im sorry, but your dad was wrong. you absolutly need to rejet. ESPECIALLY if your getting a K&N. your obivously not gonna feel much of a power gain if you dont rejet. once you rejet, youll be pleassantly surpised

Yeah, i'm still trying to get my Phantom on (what a friggin' pain in the ass) but i've never heard anyone say they felt like it's worse when trying to wheelie. You really don't need to rejet just for a filter (unless you want it perfectly fine-tuned) but you deffinitely need to when you get a pipe and especially if you have both.
