I was wondering because me and some of my buddies are thinking about opening up some kind of little shop. I know my local K&N shop owner really well and he's been teaching me how to bore and hone and port and polish and stuff like that. And I would really like to start up something.

Yea, sorry I haven't been on in a while due to a race Saturday and Graduation parties! How did VCA start? After getting your legal issues figured out and openning a bank account for your shop, etc. you need to let people know you're opening a shop. Basically, I was only 16 when I started it so I couldn't legally open accounts with distributers. Distributers are the companies like Parts Unlimited, Nac's Racing, Tucker Rocky, Marshalls, Motorcycle Stuff, White Brothers, K&K ATV, and others that supply you with your parts. Normally they make you buy an initail $2000-$5000 from them for your first order. I had my dad sign for all the paper work so I could get started. I sold shit out of my house and garage for half a year before I got big enough to open a shop. It's VERY HARD to start a shop and unless you got thousands of dollars stored away for something special, I'm not sure if it would be a good idea, but if you need help let me know!

Yeah I had thought about he same thing too. I already have a sport compact performance shop and had thought about opening a quad performance shop selling parts installs and selling used quads.
