I installed my oil block off kit and premixed yamalube 2-R with premium gas 32:1. I ran for about 30 min and then i was crusin and all of a sudden the engine seized. Luckly i got it started again and i dont think that anything got real messed up. I premixed at 32:1 because thats what everyone including the instructions say that came with the oil blockoff kit. But the engine wasnt getting enough oil. The plug was dry as a bone. and the blaster was not smoking at all. After i got it started again i added 2 oz of oil to the tank and 2 oz to the gas can i have. why did in not get enough oil? Why does everyone run 32:1 and When i do it seizes? Any suggestions....please help!

My blaster is a 94 and has just been rebuilt. It has been bored .20 over and it has a wisco piston and hotrods crank. I changed the front sprocket to a 12 tooth. Installed Vitos oil block off. Please help me out with what ratio i need to use .

Dude id take a look at ur top end, it sounds like there was no oil runin to the engine, thats really bad for a 2 stroke, and when u blow them up they usally start back up but then u screw ur top end

I used a rite ratio... That is how I mixed the oil and gas 32:1. That was not enough oil obviously b/c it was not smoking and then seized. After putting a lil gas/oil in the cylender and trying to start it. It finally started, but it was not smoking at all. The plug was dry. I added 2 oz of oil to the gas tank and then 2 oz to gas can. When I mixed the gas and oil. I used 2.5 Gallons of gas. My ratio is about 22:1 now and it smokes like it is susposed to and also it has good power. Everything is good now. But how can everyone use 32:1 and I need to use 22:1. I dont have my K&N filter or my reeds on yet. I think I just got it to run good stock. But I dont know why it runs best at 20:1.

Does Anyone know why 32:1 was too lean for me. Why can everyone use 32:1 and when I did it seized? Your blaster is susposed to smoke right? Because that is how you know that ur engine is getting enough lubrication right? How do you know what ratio is good for you?

did you remember to drain all of the gas from your tank and lines before adding the premix?

Yes I drained the whole gas tank and the carb. The only gas that got into the engine is the gas/oil mix 32:1.
