Hey, i just got through completely restoring my 1988 blaster. I bought FMF fatty, powercoreII exhaust, 34mm kehien carb, rebuilt motor.....everything in the motor bearings and all, new electrical, knn air filter, and i think thats it. The problem is....is when i went to ride it, it wouldn't hit any sort of power band. It bogs down hardcore and wont go fast at all. it runs and idles fine. I checked the main jet in the carb and its a K170...which is pretty big compared to the stock one. I was wandering if the problem might be the main jet or do i need to by some racing reeds. B/C the reeds in it now are plain old stock ones. thx. ;D

if changing the main jet doesn't make any difference your needle valve may be worn.
