I just bought a new 04 Yamaha Blaster....when I let it warm up with the parking brake on (in neutral) and give it some throttle it does not want to rev....this is with the choke open, then half full then off...When I release the parking brake it will rev no problem but seems to stall quite often ....any suggestions? I know the dealer put a bit of oil in with the gas to break it in....i this the problem?

THATS SOME STUPID FEATURE THAT YAMAHA PUTS ON THE BLASTERS IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH WATER, ALL THE NEW BLASTERS DO IT. IT HAS TO BE SOMETHING SO THAT IF YOU START IT AND LET IT SIT THERE AND RUN MAYBE SO THAT NOBODY CAN HOP ON OR REV THE SHIT OUT OF IT. THATS MY BEST GUESS BUT THEY ALL DO IT.

NO NO NO NO when u put on the parking brake ( which i dont even think works at all) it stops u revving really high so that if you take of with it on u wont fly up the road and wear your brake pads, i got that shit disconneted its more like an unparking brake. It doesnt even work if you push ur quad u cant even fell anything holding it back

The water problem you refer to is when you remove the parking brake. When you unplug the wires under the hood, water can get in the plug and fool the bike into thinking the parking brake is on. If you are going to disable the parking brake, put electrical tape over the plug under the hood so water wont get in there. It happened to me a few times. I would wash my bike and it wouldnt rev for a few hours until it dried, I finally figured it out and taped up the empty plug.
