Port/polish for better terms is a process of correcting mistakes and a method that is used to flow more air effiently through your engine. The intake, exhaust and tranfer ports are is some cases made larger and re-angled or directed and and the casting flaws deburred and cleaned up mostly were the castiron liner meet the alum casting.
As far as "head decking" the term is cylinder decking. The top of the cylinder is commonly referred to as the deck. In many cases the cylinder is lifted by using base gasket/spacer for port timing metods and after this is done the piston is now further down "in the hole" to bring the piston to deck clearance back to normal or accepted. The top of the cylinder is "decked" and resufaced by a machine.
Your term "head decking" is actually "head milling" one of the magor modifications prudent to porting is compression which is achieved by taking material off the head surface reducing the area of combustion. There are many other factors in head mods such as squish area/angle and the chamber shape and volume but to keep it simple.
Yes, you can have the Vito's cylinder ported, I am sure and have an understanding there is room for improvement.
You don't have to appolagize for asking a "question" for the unknown or understanding. I will be glad to help you with your questions and understanding. There are individuals here that are nothin more than "builder groupies" that like to think they have all the answers but they just pay their builder for what they don't understand then bash you for asking the question for wanting to understand. An open mind is a good mind a closed mind is just that.

I THINK HE APOLOGIZED FOR THE OMFG POST,NOT FOR THE QUESTION....i didnt bash him for asking what porting and polishing is...i dont pay engine builders because i build micro engines all fall and winter....When someone asks a question and they get pissed off that no one answers them in 24 hours i kinda get upset myself.....Maybe you should just stay on here and answer everyones questions.....

" Look in th FAQ section"
" thats why there is a FAQ section"
Your qotes above didn't seem to me to be very welcoming nor helpful. As a few others explained this is a "help" section and his question deserved an answer not a smart ass remark telling him to look somewhere else, and search for an aswer.
You recently came on BHQ with the same attitude and didnt get a very "happy" welcome and I can see that you pretty much repeat that same element here too.
I do enjoy answering questions and helping others that need some quidance and ask questions to learn. And if I have a confidant answer and understanding I will always take the time to share it.
I do not mean/intent to come on here and have a bashing session with "hnaoutlaw" but everywhere I go he seems to be disrespecting something or someone seems to get a little old.
