well.. i just purchased a toomey pipe kit with v-force reed valve..and had to change the jetting and needle clip! i started my bike up without the jet in and it ran like crap! once i installed the jet and positioned the needle clip it runs like a bat out of hell, still runs lean though! but through full throttle my blaster hauls!

The jetting should always be re-evaluated whenever any 'performance' change is made. This includes P&S, reeds, filters, or even changing from pump gas to race gas. Since the jetting dictates your fuel to air mix in miniscule increments, seemingly small changes can throw-out the optimum balance. If you're gonna spend your hard-earned on a good P&S you want it to work to its full potential.
What P&S system are you looking to buy, and are you running the standard Mikuni carb?

after every performance part you put on the jetting should be checked,if you dont you could pay the price
