I was getting ready to install my HWD shaved prop head and had a problem removing the old head. I took the front plastic off for easy access to the nuts. As soon as I started to remove the nuts, the nuts spun and stripped the head studs. ALL of the nuts and studs did this. Why would they do this, this is the first time the head has been off, the quad is only 2 months old. How do I get the studs out to replace them? What are the torque specs for the studs and head nuts? What tools do I need to install the studs?

the only reason i could c why they would do that is because ur engine gets so hot, n it jus stickes them nuts right to it. that happened to me with a couple screws on the side case they jus striped they wouldnt even spin, there just hard to get out...it sucks

Since I have to remove the studs anyway, can I just use bolts to hold the head on? The torque spec for the head studs is 18lbft and the torque spec for the head nuts is also 18lbft. It just makes sense that you could remove the studs and use bolts torqued to 18lbft. ?
