Im pretty new to four wheelers, i just got an 01 blaster. I went to my local shop and asked him what to use to oil the gears, he handed me a bottle of 10w30 oil and said it would work fine. Is this correct and if so how do I oil them.

i would use a oil that said for gear oil . now to change it theres a plug on the bottom of the engine cases take it out and let all of the old oil out. put the plug back in. there is a plug in front of the kick start put the oil in till its half way up the glass site gauge below the kick start. done

you gotta use a 75w of 80w the other oils probley wouldn't hurt it but it might slip your clutches.75W or 80 w works well with you clutches.

A GOOD QUALITY 10w30 motor oil in the transmission will be just fine. It takes 650ml to fill it after you drain it. We have been racing mx for years on a blaster and have no trouble in this area.

Only use oil recomended for wet clutches , Yamalube 4 10w-30 is what your owners manual recomends. High detergent oils for cars will cause clutch slippage and will eventually damage your clutch....
Keep blasting....

So, is any SAE 10W30 good for a Blaster or should i just try and get Yamalube?
Also, is any 2 cycle oil fine or should i try and find some Amsoil or Yamalube?
