race gas

hey whats the difference between race gas and pump gas besides the higher octane and whats the recomended octane for racing if i have a 240cc kit, 30mm carb, pb airbox, graydon pipe, and if i use octane around 105 will my quad perform better what are the ood and bad things. one last question theres a place were they sell 105 octane can i just buy it and use it or is there something i have to do

Difference between pump gas and race gas? Race gas is meant to be ran with engines that have high compression. Running race gas when you dont need to....it wont help at all.

If the 240cc kit bumps up the compression....then it would be good to run race gas. If the kit involves porting and shaving the head....it will raise the compression.
