it is fine in bottom and mid power but when it hits top end it looses all power and starts missing. i've done everything i can think of and nothing helps. it is all stock. one day it was fine and the next it was acting this way.

Its your main jet that controls how your bike runs from 3/4 to full throttle with that being said is it cutting out? Or is it more of a sputter?
You know now with the weather changing so will your jetting so just remember as it gets cooler/colder outside the amount of oxygen in the air goes up and more oxygen in the air means that you are going to have to provide your bike with more fuel to achieve the desired air fuel mixture.
Do a plug chop at full throttle if its white its lean if its black its rich but personally I think its running lean because of the weather changing but do a plug chop just to be certain. But if the plug does indicate that its running lean then go up 3 main jet sizes and work your way down from there. It is always better to start out rich and work your way down.

Oh I almost forgot, the ideal color that you want your plug to be is that of a cardboard box however personally I like mine to be the color of an old penny, kind of like a medium dark copper color.

Then it might be time for a top end rebuild. Check your compression, anything lower than 115 constitutes a rebuild.

150? Did you just do a compression check now or is that number from when you rebuilt it?

Also, when you rebuilt it did you re-torque the base nuts and head nuts? I ask because those items have a nasty habit of coming loose during break in and if that happens it will loose compression. Head nuts are 20lbs and base nuts are 18lbs.

Try doing another plug chop with a fresh brand new plug. Sometimes when you do a chop with a used plug thats already colored it doesnt always give you an accurate reading so stick a brand new one in there and do it again. If thats not it then im stumped and I will probably direct you over to Hollywood Dirts board because if your compression is good, and its not the jetting, or an air leak, everything is torqued, then it might be something with electrical and I will admit thats not exactly my special area because I havent had any problems in the electrical department before. The only things I know how to fix are the things that I personally have experience fixing, which is pretty much everything but electrical. So do another chop with a new plug and if thats not it go here, hollywooddirt.proboards20.com/index.cgi?action=login2
