hey i just rebuilt my girls motor and it started for a few seconds full throttle but was bogging ...... but now it wont start and it back fires sometimes

try to strat it in compression (if you know what i mean)

it might have an air leak in a gasket, that all i can think of.

check the compression and then check the head gasket it might hav a leak some where

Alright, From what it sounds like - its a fourstroke cause you stated "it backfires" - 2 strokes do Not backfire. What kinda of 4 stroke motor is it and does it have compression, fuel to the cylinder and spark? If so, then you must be having problems with either the carb or valve area - Make sure all valves are fit to specs and that your timming is on. Hope this helped  |

i though 2 strokes back fired...lol i didnt know what he was talking about there for a min. 2-strokes dont back fire nere as loud

2 strokes do backfire lol ....... and i found out what was wrong ....... i got it 2 start and everything the rings were seized i nthe piston and wasnt expanding out so loss of compression
