I bought a 250r shock and had the same problem. So, I made a different mount for the top of the shock so that the mounting point sits about 3 in. higher, and it just about leveled it back out. I have a +4 swing arm tho, and it added about another inch and that is why I went with 2. You could probably just make a 3 in. one and it would go back to stock or almost.

Have you thought about getting your stock shock reworked? I have a friend that will rebuild your stocker with Ohlins internals and it'll be excellent. Runs about $200.

He just told me about it after I picked up a 250r shock. So I'm going to sell that shock and have my stocker reworked. That way I keep my stock geometry/height and everything else. The Blaster has a 270/380 lb progressive spring, which should be OK as is. I know that he puts in an Ohlins valve with 2 stage comp. and rebound. The preload adjuster is modified, a rezzy is added along with another 1" of travel. All done w/o raising the bike any higher. Kick him an email at dave@ilrperformance.com and let him know that I sent you.

Could this also be done on the fronts? And does this make it like an Ohlins shock? Tony
