My buddy Fattie, also has a 2001 Yamaha Raptor. It has Yellow plastics on it with blue graffix. The only problem with it is it has a bent axle. ECATV will straighten the axle for 90 bucks. If anyone is interested PM me, i'll get more details and some pictures. Or if u want to talk to him directly, i'll get cha his number. $2500 bucks for a Raptor. C'mon. It's a killer deal, but i dont even have enuff money to build my blaster, that's why I aint already got it. Thanks.

I personally have heard it run, never been on it, because it'll like throw ya off, cuz the axle, but the reason it is so cheap is because he bought it at a police auction I do believe. It's a theft recovery bike. I live in Northern, KY. 41005.

Nope. Insurance pays the bike off and gives the family some money, the cops keep it as government property until they have an auction. Which is where my buddy bought it at.

I just remeber that theres a major flaw in the Raptor but I dont remeber. I think it has to do with the clutch.

Whether or not there is a problem with the clutch. It's a badass machine. It has aftermarket parts, and for 2500 for a 7000 2 year old quad. That's 5500 off. Come on. They make Raptors that you could replace the parts out of. Hell, all ya gotta do is go replace the clutch if that's what the problem is. If ya wanna race it. You'd have to put an aftermarket unit in it anyway. So. Who cares. Just put an aftermarket axle in it, and a new Frickin clutch and you'd have a badass machine for a lil' over 3 G's.

Well, i know my dude still has the raptor. But not sure what exactly he's doing with it, he just got into a car wreck and broke both of his legs, he has 2 'Shee's and that Raptor, plus all their family quads. PM Me in about 2 weeks so i can get ahold of him and see what he wants to do. Thanks man.

im not sure about clutch problems but i know that the 01 raptors have the tranny problems where 2nd gear goes out and u need to buy a whole new tranny which could cost up to 1000 to replace
