ive had my pb airbox for a while now, i love it but there are some things ive found that i think people need to know about. first off- the boot you send with has that insert in it to fit the carb better. this insert restricts flow of the air a bit, and in my case cause an air leak. my motor had been running wierd for a long while... i thought it was just how my motor was setup, today i found out i was wrong. turns out air was leaking out somewhere by that insert, and the insert kept moving backwards, and the whole thing kept falling off. i kept tightening it to find out i had an air leak, then after i took it out and clamped it down with just that outer boot it was even better, and my powerband felt MUCH better, it was literally robbing the crap out of my hp. i am still having some troubles lately with my boot staying on the carb, i think it just needs to by dried off (got some gas and stuff on it) then put on again. next thing is you need some way of mounting it to the frame. i just dont like the idea of having my plastics hold it down, plus i take my plastics off for freestyle. so i grabbed a hose clamp and looked at the overhangs. i went to the drill press and drilled a hole in the overhang close to the airbox. i then put it in the hole and strung it under the frame. then connected the clamp and tightend it down. solid as a rock with just 1 hose clamp. id consider doing something of that sort. its easy, and works like a charm. thanks -Mike

if you have problems with the air boot just let us know in the future, and we'll fix it for you. They don't make a boot that can squeeze down the the 26mm carbs, so we have to use that insert. And when you get a 28mm or 30mm carb, all you have to do is take that insert out and it will fit. We tried to make the box as simple as possible so more people would like them. As far as the plastic goes, most people use plastic so we used that for ease of use. that way if you're in a hurry you can just slide the box out without messing around with mounting. thanks for the input and next time you have any problems just get ahold of me and we'll see what we can do.
