me and the guys at VCA/Valley Manufacturing/Project Blaster were thinking about the possibilities of making a Customized extended Blaster frame that we could unleash to the market. It's not certain yet, but if we do start on one, we will have lots of R&D time before it becomes available for sale. It will be 2" to 3" longer, making it so much better for motocross/cross country/drag/hillclimbs... hell, just about everything.

no, not yet. Like I said, it's just something we would love to do. It will be one of the best control/handling improvements you could make to a Blaster.

Actually, no there won't be much more room because we are just lengthening the frame up front so it will be longer making it handle a lot better. This will help when going over rough sections because it will glide easier. It will probably be around $300-$500 but I'm not positive yet.

Phragle, Welcome to this board. I think your help on the extented frames would be greatly appreciated by Kurt, as I've seen some of your frames and they look SWEET! Do you have an AIM name, that he or I could get ahold of you on? Thanks. Brandon

Yea, I've seen your frame Phragle, it's pretty trick! What we're trying to do is make one for motocross, yours is set up for long duration events. I really don't like to talk about it out loud like this, but we haven't worked with it yet, it's just something we have planned. VCA sat down and thought it up and the frame will be extended but still stay low to the ground allowing all stock parts to fit as well as making it longer (not wider.. not possible). Also another factor is money. I don't want to throw too much money into this so most people won't be able to afford them, I wanted to keep it around $300-$400 with a core charge of the old frame. Let me know if you've done any work on an MX frame.

I have some ideas.. one of the biggest problems youll encounter is steering shaft angle, keepeing it in the plastic. the 03 plastic isnt so bad with triming but the earlier noepiecs were pretty tight. look at adding a little more rake to the front end. this will let the a-arms sweep back as they hit a bump and also help point the shaft back a bit. also, by changing the upper shock mounts you could use 250r shocks allowing more travel and used 250r shocks oem, and aftermarket are plentiful. my enail is phragle@hotmail.com if you would like to discuss this further away from public view.

You have some good points, and I'll show this to the manufacturers at VCA. I'm not sure when we'll start r&d on our frames, but when we do I'll let you know and probably need some help, lol. Thanks!

Why cant you make it wider? Plastic wont fit?

well nothing would fit if I made it wider... you get a-arms and axle to make it wider, if I made it wider in the engine area, it wouldn't make a difference anyway.
