I just had to get my engine bored .20 over, and I also took off the oil-injector. I am wondering what kind of oil I should use to break it in? I dont think I want to run synthetic oil, but if anyone here has an opinion I would like to hear it. I heard a good oil to use for break-in is castrol. Thank you.

I have heard synthetic is too "slippery" for a break in oil and its best to use semi-synthetic for break in. Then switch to dominator. I am sure it will still break in with synthetic, but it will take longer..a lot longer.

we use klotzs or h1r from bellray , both are full synthetic oils . We run it all the time for engine overhauls and breaking in the cylinder and racing .We dont change ratio oil to gas . we havent had any problems.I also have wiesco the factory bore all my cylinders and when i get them back they are perfect they charge the same as everyone else out there.also if you do your own port design they won't copy it.
