boring gives you some performance but dosent it just make your engine run hotter and just plain help it run

Porting & Polishing- gives you alot more power.

a real small bore is piontless unless your re building and the cylinder needs it. however a big bore is a good idea. going with huge ports on a stock motor will give you a really narrow power band because there isnt a lot of gas coming in the clylinder. to get more gas, you need bigger jets, to get bigger jets you need a bigger cylinder. so bore it out.
for example. 200cc kit vs. 240cc kit with the exact same porting specs.(ported for the 240) the 200 will be fast but have a really narrow band wich is really hard to ride, the 240 will be the faster of the 2 with quite a bit more torqe. switch it around, use porting specs for a 200 on the 240 and now the 200 will have the wider powerband and easier to ride but the 240 is now a low end torque monster, albeit, only thru a few hundred rpm
