When I got my orange plastic, I removed my keyswitch. It really gives you a false sense of security, all you have to do is unhook the wires to the switch and you can start it. Its really up to you. I thought about putting it under the seat on that flat spot behind the airbox the Maier plastics have. Then you could leave it on when you ride, but when you will be away for a long time, you could take the key with you and it would be harder for someone to find the switch to disable it. Just a thought....

Well, if you still had the stock plastic and wanted to go out of your way to take it off I wouldnt, but seeing as you would have to mount it somewhere else on your quad I would just get a killswitch and leave it at that...

i took the key off and wired my kill switch into the on/off switch wires and took that whole headlight,on/off switch off, then i plugged the key wires together and took off the key too.

just cut a hole inthe right or left side of your plastics and screw the key starter thing onto it and it'll be fine please
