what does a tether kill switch do and what are the benefits of it

its a requirment for most racing and if you fall of your quad it shuts it off

i mostly ride in the trails but do go to an track now and then is it good to have if i ride in the trails, is that the only way to shut off yuor quad if you get it

its a good safety item but no you could still shut it off the same way im sure i never had one but i am gona get one

you clamp it on your bars and it shuts of the quad when the tether is ripped out of the switch

yeah, so when u fall it turns off, and sometimes your throttle will get stuck, they also make some handlebar clamps that incoorporaite a mount for it too, i think its arens

Wont ur blaster just stal wen u fall off it...mine does cause im not holding in the cluch obiviusly.

well if u fall off going fast ur bike wont stall until it starts to slow down. as soon as the kill switch comes out the back wheels lock and stops

A tether kill switch shuts the bike off if you fall off. The advantage of this is that your bike wount keep rolling or staying running when its on its side or something. I have one and think they are awsome.
