what is rim offset and does it matter?

Ok, say you see a rim with a 3/5 offset that means that the center part of the rim is set to the side an inch than the other side, so if you bolt these on you will either gain one inch in width or lose one inch...u understand?

so say i get rear rims with a +3/5 offset....it adds an inch to the rear?

a 3/5 offset ads an inch on each side.say if there was a 5/3 u would be losing width. got it

i have stock rims and tires on my frotn and i flippes them around and it made it even with my rear

Stock offset is 3/2 so when you flip them it makes is 2/3.
