The same thing happened to my '97 blaster and has happened to all my friends blasters. I took my rear brake all apart and it was seized because from day one at the factory there was never any grease in the brake. Also there is a small rubber grommet that was missing from my brakes that i had to replace. Before you go and buy new brakes try smothering the inner workings with water proof grease and see if that gets them working.

The pre-03 blaster brakes are a joke, don't go for a blasterzone or trenga brake either. A banshee or warrior system works much better, and cheaper.
