im getting the standerd elkas for my blaster and was a wonderin how much more travel i will get over the stock pos. and what am i gona notice most about them compared to the stock pos?

are you racing?? or do you definitely need them? if you have the money and dont care then go for it...but i wouldnt suggest going to elkas unless you race

i sorta race i will be doing practice sesions on a mx track and the other place i ride is like a mx track. i ride hard all the time and do big jumps

unless you have lt a-arms, you wont be gaining anymore travel, what you are buying is ride QUALITY not quantity. you'll still have right at 7 inches of travel, but since they are built for you and your riding style, they will be a much more fine tuned shock, they will be softer than the stockers and also stifferdepending on where you are in the shocks travel

ima clear this up really quick cause i know its gonna be the next question asked. If you get extended a-arms +1 +2 +3 ect. then you will still have the same amout of travel as stock. The shock is just harded for the longer a-arms. They do not move the shock mount unless they say they moved the mount(Long Travel). Then the +1 as in +3 +1 or +2 +1, ect means they move the a-arms 1" forward. If you look at a them you will see the a-arms goes out then had a bend forwar in it. That make the front wheels 1" forward. I believe that puts more weight on the rear end resulting in more travel. (im not 100% on that i may put more on the front, but puting it on the rear is more logical cause more weight = more traction)

(im not 100% on that i may put more on the front, but puting it on the rear is more logical cause more weight = more traction) you are partailly right, unless you have LT shocks you will not gain any suspension travel (how far up and down the shock moves) but with any a-arms that are longer than stock, even if they are standard travel, you will gain wheel travel because they wheel is on a longer axis

ah...didnt know that....learn somethin knew every day. I just get annyod people are like. can i put 16" shock on +3 +1 a-arms and i thought that would prolly be the next post lol.
