banshee axle +2

well thats a dumb move, they suck the stock brakes, if you want hydros u can buy mine its brand new, thats the only an axel will go in

i have a banshee axle on my blaster.. but it is an 03 so i think that it only fits with a hydro brake.. if u to c a banshee axle on the blaster, there are sum pics of my quad under the pics ssection

there is another way to put a shee axle on. you do not need hydros. im just not sure how. but there is a way

Will a banshee axle fit my blaster?? the answer: yes and no.. the banshee axle is a little wider that the blaster axle, and all the splines are the same..so the sprocket carrier hubs etc will fit. the banshee axle is a direct replacemt on the 03' and newer blaster, 02' and older require some work. the blaster has a floating disc and fixed caliper on the 02 and earlier, while the banshee has a fixed disc and flaoting caliper. This presents a problem. the blaster axle has a machined step on the brake side that butts against the bearing, positioning the axle. the banshee axle does not have this. it nas a step on the outside of the disc carrier. there are 2 ways you can make it work.
1. get a collar and snap ring and have a groove machined into the axle to mount it like a durablue.
2. use a banshee disc carrier (the actual disc is the same size) and convert your bike to hydralic breaks getting parts off ebay or someplace else.
WARNING!! using a 'spacer' to jam up the stock disk to locate the axle is the WRONG way to do it..this effectivly makes a non floating disc and a non floating caliper. By doing this when you step on the rear break, you are not squeezing the disc between the pads, you are flexing the disk. this causes poor braking performance, increased and uneven pad wear, and will intime lead to a brake failure. Possibly causing you to crash and suffer anything from needing to change your shorts, to serious injury and DEATH.
