ok im confused some say atc's are to long and some say they are just right if you buy 85-86. What year is the best 250r shock trx and atc?

I know there's a few people on here that have used different 250r shocks so just wait and somebody may respond.

1987-1989 TRX250r rear shocks will fit. the 86 is longer. atc, WILL fit also, but the rezzy hoses are shorter, so they will be harder to mount. and they are a bit older so will most likly need some work done to them.

ok so the atc will fit but hose is shorter. is the atc the same as stock or about 2 inches longer?

not all atc shocks will fit. i have an older one and it is about 3 inches to short.

yeh I actually have a ATC shock, the rezzie is shorter and quite hard to mount, it took me awhile to may a place..The shock it self is a good shock and a big improvment, I recommend it to anyone.

wen u put a R shck on how does it fit in ? dont u have to grind something down ?

wen u put a R shck on how does it fit in ? dont u have to grind something down ? some say you need to grind some of on the bottom shock mount (on the shock) just to make it a tad thinner, only because its kinda a tight fit, but I never did it..It was a little to tight, but I was able to deal with it.

so im thinkin a 1987 250r shock will fit right on to a 2000 blaster right?? and are they better than a stock blaster shock???
