alright. i have my blaster totally torn down and im going through it with alot of aftermarket parts to make it reliable and fast. as of now i have a hot rod crank, new ceramic bearings, new seals, ftz exhaust, stock carb but have jets from 280 - 340. few months probably an aftermarket 30mm carb. boyeson reeds, uni air filter with no air box. now its time for the top end. i need a new piston and rebore. i was going to go 240 but i dont really think i want to spend that much money now. so i was wondering what i need to do to my head? port and polish, head base spacer, and mill the head a little for more compression? and a reed spacer. what do you guys think? i will also probably go with a set of v-force 3's in the future but for now how do you think itll run? thanks soo much

i just ordered my new wsm piston kit. supposed to out perform stock or something i dunno but it was pretty cheap and stuff. i haev to get my head bored 1.00mm over and i was just wondering if i will gain anypower from having them cut the head down a bit? it costs 45 for a bore and hone and 25 to cut the head. what do you think? thanks!

Although milling your head will add a little compression by not having rechambered your really not getting the just out of what you could have. Rechambering the head is probbly one of the biggest performance gains there is. Spending the extra money & time for rechambering would be much wiser

Basically rechambering the stock head is re-designing/machining the stock head to be ore effiecent/performance
There is quite a bit involved in rechambering the head. The squish band/width, squish angle and combustion bowl area size and shap and the entire combustion are measured in cc's.
Although a local machine shop could do the maching no problem it is the dementions and desisn that they would need to complete the work.
