Aiight dudes and dudettes, I have a brain buster for you. Jetted my phantom pipe tonight. Installed a 310 without the air box lid (wanted to be on the safe side for now with teh jet size). So I essembled everything back together and fired her up. Now with the peacock in the "ON" position it idles but then fuel starts spilling out of the overflow tube connected to the bowl. What could this problem be? Stuck Float? Needle? Please respond asap.

yeah my friends yz80 did this one day too haha...all we did was took a long thick bolt and put it on the side of the carb where the float would be and then hit it with the hammer...dont do it too hard though just give it a few taps until it quits

Ok, last night we tapped on the carb (not to hard) and now the SOB won't fire ;D I dunno wtf happened but it's NOT firing up. It has compression, there is spark, there is fuel going into the carb bowl. I guess I'll have to see if the spark plug is wet and pull it out, dry it, put it in kick a few times and pull it out again and see if it's even wet. The plug is a little rich looking but I am still getting a spark... Perhaps the 310 is too rich? It's quite cold out so it shouldn't be. I might try and bump it down to 290.

Good news guys. I popped a 290 main jet in her and she fired up on the second kick!!! Holy crap this pipe sounds amazing. However there is still a slight problem. If I let it idle for a few minutes it bogs down and dies... if I try to hit the throttle more it struggles to get the rpms up and it'll stay on if I leave the throttle on but once I release my thumb it dies... Any ideas? I took it for a rip around the block and it seemed fine, just a bad idle. Perhaps the air screw needs to be adjusted?
