i recently added a holywood dirt high performance cylinder with stage three porting , a rifled head, rifled exhaust , and got it bored .002 over and now whenever the bike starts to get hot it knocks could this be an octane issue or something more???

well, i would say that its noraml. unless its exsesive then it could be your bore. who did u have bore it? if the bore it outa of round, or isent straight, or too big for your piston it will also nock, it could be your bottem end as well, crank berrings, ect...its hard to say change your aol alot, and run at least 110 octain fule mixed someone between 40 and 32 :1

i had hollywood dirt bore it and i am now curently using half 110 and half 92 is there any way that i could narrow it down?

Whats your compression at? If your engine wasnt set up for race gas, you dont have to run 110 octane, it can hurt performance because your engine cant compress it enough before it ignites. Did you remenber to put on the cylinder base spacer and a gasket on each side? If not, your piston could be hitting your head. Pull the spark plug and turn the engine over by hand, if this is the problem, you will hear the piston hit the head.

does the knockind sound like a marbley noise if it is your crank bearings are gone this happened to me before at a unwelcome time and we then got a vitos hot rod crank

rod bearings crank bearings to low an octane lean jetting air leak forgot the spacer or gaskets?
