Do I have to take anything off the bike to get the head pipe on? I have been trying for the last 5 hours to get the head pipe on with ZERO luck. The pipe will not go on, it seems that the steering stem is in the way but I haven't read about anyone removing it inorder to get the pipe on. All advice from those who HAVE THE PIPE is appreciated!

Since it's a right bend pipe (Not left like the stock) i went in from the left side of the quad and just manuvered it in there to where it all lines up. It did take quite some time to get it in there tho. Hope this helps

it'll take awhile lol, it took me along time..I found it easiest to have the the manifold already on the head pipe use the spring to keep in on, and then like stick one of the studs in the hold of the manifold and work the other side on..It's tuff but it'll go on..Remove your right fender if you haven't already, that will make it easier.

do you mean the flange to the manifold? I cannot take the flange off it is on there solid, it WILL NOT move. It does not spin freely or anything.

It should spin. Mine did when i was putting it on there. Yea take off your fenders that also helps with it.

alright your manifold is chrome right, if you bought the phantom brand new it should move, it shouln't even be attached to anything,to begin with your suppose to bolt it to the motor, but attach it to the head pipe first with the spring then work it on and then bolt it up.
Are you able to take any pictures, that will help out.

Trust me... it is EXTREMELY hard. I actually had to grind some parts to get it all to fit right but getting the pipe to go over the studs is probably the hardest. The problem with mine was that the manifold was on the pipe when you get it but it is not ALL the way on. Pop off the spring, get the manifold off, and then put a little bit of high-temp silicone on the end of the pipe and put the manifold back on ALL the way. You really have to hit it down on there so use something thats soft like rubber. To make it a lot easier take off both fenders and the black fender bracket. Then work the pipe around the frame and you should be able to get at least onto 1 stud and have to tap the pipe over a little bit to get it to pop onto the other stud. While doing this you might have to adjust the manifold so it lines up right.
