For Christmas my parents gave me $1000 to spend on my bike and I really want to get my motor squared away. My question to you guys is which kit should I buy, the Hollywood Dirt 240 with pd3, 35mm A/S carb, G3 reed valve and CPI Big bore pipe, or the CT Racing Sonic full package? My friend has the Hollywood Dirt PD3 240 and blows away my other friend with the CT Racing ported stock bore motor package. But what do you guys think? Thanks in advance.

have you by chance ever seen these two kits run side by side? I just want to make sure that I make the right choice and spend my money wisely.

no cant say that i have, but the ct 240 kit is an entirely new casting with superier reed cage set up and other benefits. and they have tested them extensively and post 40 hp dyno results with a broad torque curve
the hwd kit is a stock cylinder that has been resleeved, so your kinda limited on what can be done compared to an entirely new casting.......
i just believe the ct is the better 240 kit all around, im sure youd be happy with either kit though

another thing to consider is that the ct sonic kit has, a pipe, and matched carb . so youd make one purchase......... also there isnt a core charge on their kits

The CT kit is still by far the best, like already said it has a totally different design head and cylinder and it uses a cr250 intake design and comes with the reed cage and manifold, and a 35mm carb or 38 I don't remember, with a pipe and silencer, pull piston kit, gaskets etc.
