Hello people, I am a little stumped on brake conversion kits for the Blaster.... primarily the front brakes.
I have read about kits that you can from the PB store, east coast atv etc. And then I have read posts about people who just fab brackets etc. so that the modification will work.
If I was to do this mod from complete scratch would I use just Warrior hubs and the braking system and all should be good? what kind of problems will I be running into?
Or if I was to start with the rear, could I just use a set up from a warrior or banshee and just figure out how to make mounts for everything?
Also what about the modified rear brake pedal?

warrior fronts no problem.
rears, you'll need to make a caliper bracket & modify the pedal. you'll also need to mount some tabs on the frame to bolt the master cyl. on.

i personaly would use the stock spindles, warrior spindles have a little different geometry than blasty's. there are two problems you will run in to with the stock spindles 1. you need cailper mounts. these are fabbed up fairlyeasy, just take them to a machine/fab shop and show them where the caliper lays, and they can modify the spindle to make t work. 2.hub spacer, see if you can find a pic ofa warrior spindle. do you the the spacer on the shaft itself? you need to fab that also.
now with your moddified stock spindels, you can use all of the raptor/banshee/warrior componets. you will need brake rotors, wheel hubs and bearings, castle nuts to hold the hubs on,brakepads, braklines, and a master clinder with lever. if you buy aftermarket lines, you can call streamline, they have a set up that runs seperate hoses from the master cylinder all the way to the calipers. so you wont need a splitter box
to make things easy, look in the back of dirtwheels and call some used parts places and see if you can find 2003 or newer blaster spindles. then everything would blt up w/ no mods
