Have any of you tried to put a wr/yz 250 engine into a blaster chasis?
If so how successful was it, and how much trouble was it?
I don't know if it's worth it or not, but wouldn't it give the 250Rs HELL!?

i've never done it personally...but my friends step dad did. its a hell of a lot of work. he had to reweld some motor mounts, make custom brackets for the silencer, make a jimmy rigged fuel line...(he kept the stock blasters fuel tank)....and he had some trouble with the airbox.. ooh yeah...by the way...this thing ran like a raped ape. he just wouldnt shut down 250r's, but he would blow any shee' out of the water. did i mention the heads were port and polished?(hehe)
...in conclusion...it's just too much work, i would just rather send my engine to trenga, and have them put a "good remody" in it.

That's kinda what I figured, since I hadn't herd anything of it by now. Before I do that kind of work, I'll walk out , load up, and go ride my YFZ.  Just thought it would be sort of cool. Thanls for the info OP |
