I have a blaster with the HWD PD#2 porting and the head prop work done. I am currently swapping the stock carb for a 30mm PWK one. Should I use the same pilot and main jets to start with, or should I change them? Higher or lower? It has a 280 main right now....not sure what the pilot is, since I haven't pulled it out. Oh yeah, and I plan on running a clamp on K&N with an outerwear since I only ride in sand. Thanks!

smaller? I would think since you have a larger carb, if anything you should go bigger! Can you explain why? My new 30mm came with a 155 main jet and the pilot jet is a 52.

When rejetting ANY carb from scratch ALWAYS START RICH and work your way down! It'll only cost you spark plugs that way and not PISTONS.

Here's a starting point for the pwk
45 pilot needle 3rd clip main 170
Work from there, that is where we start with our 33pwk and usually end up coming down on the main.

i've got a similar setup.. pd3 with head prop, but a 33mm rifled pwk.. (+ all the other goodies) i ended up with a 160 main, 45 pilot and 3rd clip. like everyone else said, start rich and work your way down.
