i'm having trouble with my jetting and i was hoping one of you guys could help me out. ive got a white brothers air filter and LRD rfx exhaust and needle. problem is i cannot get it to run corerectly with the air box lid on. i race xc so i'm not cutting any holes in the lid, or removing it, also not taking off the little snorkel since i need everything as sealed up as i can. anyone else run a similar set up and what jets do you have? i have a stock pilot, 260 main and clip is on the groove second from the top and it wont rev all the way out i would think its still rich on the main jet, but i'm getting awful close to stock jetting wich just has me confused, can anyone help?

I have pretty much the same set up and a 260 main and stock pilot jet. I havent changed the needle positon, either. It runs great. I dont know what the problem with yours is.

idle has nothing to do with it, its rich on top end, i'm down to a 260 main with the lid on, but with no snorkel. just dosent seem right to be that close to stock jetting

First thing, does it rev clean with the airbox lid off?
If so, then you know you have jetting problems, if it does not change you may have a weak ignition coil.

First thing, does it rev clean with the airbox lid off? If so, then you know you have jetting problems, if it does not change you may have a weak ignition coil. this is the part that stumps me, with the lid off, i can go 1 notch richer on the needle and from a 260 to a 310 main and it runs like you would not beleive, its incredible. with the lid onit runs like crap, gets about a quarter thru the rev range and falls on its face. i have a 260 main in it now and the blug is dark and oily, this is with the lid on, but no snorrkel
