last summer my piston shadered into like 3000 peices when i was ridding and i have to completly rebuild the motor. so far i got the whole top end ready thanx to a Vito's 240 BB cylinder kit. but i was wondering how hard it is to split the case and put in a new crank, bearings, seals, and all that stuff. any help or advise would be great

It is very easy. Take the clutch, flywheel, and front sproket off. Then all the bolts that hold them together then tap with a rubber mallet till they part. If they dont budge after a few minutes of tapping. you forgot a bolt and search. USE A IMPACT SCREWDRIVER TO TAKE THEM OUT OR YOU WILL STRIP THING. Then reseal the cases with Yamabond(nothing other, get yamabond its the best). Parts I reccomend: You should have done a little bit more research on 240's Vitos porting isnt the greatest.
Intake: G3 Reed cage, PWK-35,36,or 38 Exhaust: Dynoport or PB Phantom or CPI Big Bore Internals: Wiseco Crank Yamaha Seals and Gaskets.

hitting the motor with a rubber mallet is a real shoemaker way of splitting the cases. use a case splitter to do the job the correct way.
