I had a Hetricks national stroker motor about 1 1/2 years ago and it blew up on me. The porting and head work was a joke and the cases were not properly set up for the extra amount of stroke. Plus, they did nothing to fix it. These are things that I feel to be totally unacceptable in a speed shop. I totally recommend that you find a quality smaller shop to get your engine work done by. Smaller shops pay a lot more attention to detail and pamper your motor a lot more than really big shops. And the reason being is that a smaller shop doesnt have so many customers that it no longer cares about quality.

Not in my experience. There is also a guy who frequents these messageboards named Tyler Sarai, he had an exact experience as I did with a Hetricks Stroker motor. Again, on his motor too, they didnt properly machine the cases to accept the stroker. Instead, they took a damn die grinder and hacked it up a little bit and it was way out of specs for that stroker and the motor blew. Heres the kicker, Tyler was even one of their partially sponcered riders and they did nothing to fix his problem either. Now I cant speak for any of the other motors that they build for different quads, but when I took my Hetricks top end off the head work was nothing special and the porting was far from being maxed out.
The transfers were barely touched, the intakes were barely touched, the bottom of the transfer tunnels werent even close to being fully opened up either. They did an alright job on the exhaust port but its the transfers that make the most magic in an engine.
My point is, is that there are shops out there that do far better work for Blasters than Hetricks. Is Hetricks capible of doing good work? YES! But what a shop is capible of, and what a shop kicks out the door are usually two different things.
Now you guys can take it as Ripleys "Believe it or not", but I have first hand experience with them and their work. Ive had experience with others as well.
A friend in the Blasters, Jose
