hey, i just took the airbox lid of my stock 2004 blaster and i love everything about it, espically how it makes it sound. and i was wondering if i will hurt anything? do i have to rejet it or will i be ok? also i was wondering that that if i got a k$n airfilter with a outerwear with airbox lid off, if it would still sound the same way? and how well do the outerwears work? because i ride quite a bit of trails with alot of water and mud, and dusty pits. and my last question is how would i have to jet it if i got the K&n with the outerwear and airbox off? Thanks alot!

I avoid driving trough water because the lid is of, when I sometimes do there's some water in the box.
The outerwear will protect the filter but not if the water is rising too high in your airbox ;D

Outerwears are from Outerwear, and they fit around K&N airfilters. They are made from some kind of water repellent material. But they don't restrict the airflow.
So they keep out water and very small dust. I think they are $10 at RM ATV, so if you buy a K&N, then just buy a Outerwear with it.
