Was just wondering if a reed spacer is going help me or hurt me with v-force reeds...the only reason i ask this is because im not quite sure that these reeds were tested and/or engineered for use with a reed spacer... was just wondering if anyone had any input with this type of situation?

I have never been a big fan of reed spacers. When I first purchased my quad and was looking for any way possible to make it just that much faster I bought a pro design reed spacer and v-force reed cadge. I notice a big difference. (All of which I later found came from the reed system) But after looking around and doing a little research I was told by many people that reed spacers really do not help that much if any at all (if they do it is top end where they help). They have been around for quit sometime now and when they were invented it was when pipe (exhaust) designer were not as good as today’s. But with the great advance in pipe technology that we have today I see no real use for them. I took mine off and noticed no loss in power. If you are interested in buying one I have my pro design one that is just collecting dust but I say save your money and put it towards something that will actually make your quad better. ;D

I keep hearing that reed spacers help the flow of air and fuel mixture into the engine.

When you have a bigger carb is the reed spacer supposed to be smaller like 3/8 I think from the usual 1/2 that I have seen?

You can really tell the difference of what size reed spacer you have by how thick it is. 1/2 being the longest and 1/4 being the smallest which is practically the stock reed spacer.

Trenga has the best reed spacers on the market. After you put it on it almost feels like addind a nother pipe.
