Back when I was into jet skis I bought an old Kawasaki JS550 stand up that was an x-race machine. The pump on it was blueprinted. I understood it that the process made the veins in the pump identical for smoother flow. I've also heard about crankshaft blueprinting. It seems to me that it's mapped out somehow with a computer and made more exact. Maybe part of the welding/balancing process?

you may be thinking about types of port jobs, where they basically just take a blueprint from someone elses specs and do the porting that way...im sure someone saying "blueprinting" is a very very wide variety of things...but mostly ive heard it talked about with porting
