I don't know about the others, but I have talked to the owner of BlasterZone and he says the Vito's Kit on their newest project is awesome.

Get the 200cc national cylinder kit for sure. You must run higher octane gas with it but trust me it rips. The 240 kits are alright but trust me the national cylinder kit is way better

The 240 kits are alright but trust me the national cylinder kit is way better you have to run at least 104 octane. Most people who have this National cylinder run 110 octane, including me. Yea, Darly got to ride the Team VCA Blaster around the pits at Malvern

my 2 cents!! depends on what kind of racing/riding you gonna do..if you want to smoke your friends get the vito's kit..if you race where the cc's are checked then go with the national kit..we run the vito's it has a wild port job,on alcohol.34mm carb we drag race pretty much every weekend..and believe me my son don't cut it no slack..it has yet to give us any problem at all!!my opinion ,for the money you can't beat it..

Everyone I've talked to says the 240s are extremely tempramental and tend to heat, which is why you generaly see them drag racing only. EVERYONE has told me to stay away from them here in the desert.
I thought that the new nicasil kits were only about $100 more than a good port job and they already have it done?

lol...If setup properly 240's are perfect. Many people on BHQ happen to know a man who's won the baja 1000 on a blaster w/ his CT 240. So That shows if jetted and setup properly. 240 is no problem..I think that shows the best 240. Vitos are cylinder suck..They are just like stock porting..Get something worth your while. HWD, CT, Diamond, SMS, ect.. They are all real 240's and 200's. Not that Vitos junk. and Why are you buying a whiole new cyl just cause it needs rebuilt? bore one size over or how many you need to clean up the bore. send it to get ported and there.

Okay.......so who is this guy and how do I contact him? I ride the desert, and had planned on using my blaster for the shorter courses, like a lot of them use the 250r, but everyone I talked to said it was a waste of time since they were air cooled and the big bores were untrustworthy. That's the main reason I bought my YFZ. It would still be nice to have both set ups...one for the long open stuf and my "Baby" for the short technical ones.

There is nothing wrong with 240s if they are built by the right builder and tuned by someone that actually knows what they are doing. I have a full blown race 240 from Hollywood Dirt with 198psi that I run on TRICK110 mixed with Amsoil, and I run that motor long and hard.
Hell, the day of my recent crash I ran that motor balls to the wall for a 65 mile desert ride with some buddies of mine. It ran fine, didnt overheat, screamed like a witch the whole time. Right afterwards it survived my accident too lol..
One thing I will tell you guys though, with a ported 240, and even a race ported stock bore motor, before you put that new beast in make sure that you beef up your motormounts. Because they will break. It isnt much work to do but you may need a longer mounting bolt to fit the thicker motormounts.
A friend in the Blasters, Jose

i realy doubt you would need to beef up the engine mounts at all, i believe the reason criminalpoet had to do so was because he is running his with the counterbalance shaft removed= alot more vibration.
