The 35mm race carb is for engines with heavy engine work done. It lets more flow through the carb to give it more throttle response and a lot more power. The manifold is the piece that lets you use the 35mm carb. It bolts to the engine and has a bigger opening so the 35mm carb can fit. Yes, you must get this to use the 35mm carb, but I don't recommend it unless you get a Diamond Racing National Cylinder or some other type of extreme engine mod.

So if i were to get a carb you would recomend me getting the national kit fist and then the carb. Hey by the way....Im going to get the shocks first and then all of my motorwork. Agter that i will extend my a-arms and swingarm

It all depends on how built up your motor is. A buddy of mine used to race flatrack and was beating 250rs and Shees and all he had was Toomey p/s, P&P, 35mm PWK, and bored .020. And I have ridden his Blaster and it hauls ASS. So you can get one but I wouldn't reccomend that you get one w/o a decent motor setup.

if you bought the 35mm carb and didnt have a p&p or any other serious engine work, it ouldnt help your performance hardly at all. it actually prolly run worse, even with perfect jetting

If you have basically a stock engine (no p&p or rod work) then a 28mm would work best!

If you have lots of motor work done (p&p, stroker) and it's really jerky, the 35mm will smooth the power out and make it run great!

Yes the 34/35 mm will make things smoother as far the power band goes, just make sure you got enough porting and polishing done for the bigger carb
