i just bought a $40 paint gun and went down to a paint store and bought some metalic flake paint. It might cost you alot but im sure it will be cheaper than getting a shop to do it. As long as you mix it right and ur not an idiot you should be able to paint it up pretty good. I did mine with no runs or anything.

powder coating your frame is the best, from wat i think i know, you put a charge to your frame and the paint sticks to that and you bake your bike frame for hours and it's the best you can do if your serious about a paint job

To get it powder coated, do I have to take the frame only to the shop or could i just take my whole bike and they can take everything off? Because I know if I tried to strip my bike down to the frame I would either lose a lot of parts or not be able to get it back together.
