My friend wants to build a 400ex from the ground up and he want to know about how much would it cost.

well lets just say that i put about 7-8 G's into my blaster so far, and i only got a bit more to go, and a honda seems more complex so it's probally more, but you see, i dunno, so don't QUOTE ME

he should try to find a used one for semi cheap and make upgrades to it...be so much cheaper

Yea i would say save up and get a 450.
He would end up spending around $10,000 in that EX if he built it from the ground up.
The Honde is simpler to work with than the Yamaha!
