if it's putting you @ a disadvantage, I say go for a twist, but I don't know how you'll like it. I have never ridden with one so I cannot share the experience. If you can't function porperly with your thumb though... I say go for it.

i've ridden dirtbikes all my life and loved the twist throttle...but then i got my blaster and love the thumb throttle...then i rode my friends blaster which had twist...and hated it..i don't know if it was just b/c i am used to thumb now or if it's just not as good haha...

i like my thumb... ive had bad experiences with twist lol
i was on my freinds blaster and he had twist and i thought i would try riding it on the side two wheels well i got it on the side and forgot it was twist and stuck the throttle wide open while on the side still.... luckily i didnt get hurt to bad but it scared the shit out of me ...
i guess it depends if u have riddin dirtbikes all ur life and cant get used to thumb then it would plolly be a advantage for them but for me it would be a big disadavantage lol

i rode my neighbors warrior with twist and completely HATE it!!! it sucks!!! when u go around a turn to the left, u push out on ur right hand, right? when u push out, u hit the gas. i did this and flew off a turn almost into a creek.

yea, i think i came to a conclusion, im going to use a thumb throttle for MX and a twist for flat track, so i can just go all out
